At the start of summer 2016, I was invited to work on an exciting client project for 3 months for DT Digital (now AKQA since being acquired in 2017).
HESTA Superannuation needed a brand new website and DT was responsible for building a beautiful new user experience that was more 'human' than your average Super fund to appeal to their members - people working in the health and community service industries.
I worked with a bunch of talented project managers, developers and designers, and just off the back of completing a Certificate IV in Graphic Design, my mind was heaving with fresh creative ideas to offer as we built the complex website from scratch.
It was an intensely immersive role and I thoroughly enjoyed working with the DT team at their uber cool St Kilda road offices (in-house coffee cart, orders placed via their self-designed app), meeting regularly with the HESTA team and seeing the fruits of our labour - the final website.
What Campaign Brief reported about the project:
"The brief was about creating a single digital platform that would help HESTA members and stakeholders, to make informed decisions by providing the right information and empowering them to take action. The result is a website that clearly makes complex decisions easier through excellent information and design."
What Gordon McNenney, Content Strategy Director at AKQA said about my involvement (thanks Gordon!):
"Aimee is exactly what you want in a content writer-for-hire. She's smart, diligent and resourceful. She has a good eye for design/copy integration, and she's a confident thinker and presenter who can work directly with clients from day one. Her writing skills are formidable. She's comfortable working at velocity. And to top it all off, she's a lovely person too. We look forward to working with Aimee again."
